Their unique properties of high strength and low thermal conductivity make them the ideal floor insulation for all electric cable or hot water underfloor heating systems. The insulation boards are manufactured from extruded polystyrene foam, produced without the use of CFC or HCFC blowing agents, have zero Ozone Depletion Potential (ODP) and are fully recyclable.

Applications

Travertinedirect.co.uk insulation boards have a specially prepared surface making it able to accept all water based floor tile adhesives and will form a strong bond without the need for further priming; cement screeds are poured on top of the insulation boards in the normal way. Laminate flooring can be laid dry directly on top of the insulation boards with no other preparation.

Thermal energy moves from a higher temperature to a lower one, the bigger the difference the faster the transfer. The thicker the insulation the slower the transfer.
